I have a 4110 for 2 days now. Did a lot of box scrapping and rotary cutting and noticed that my sway adjustment keeps loosening. Had to tighten it up several times (by hand) to keep it from swaying into the tires. Am I doing something wrong? Is this normal for about 10 hours of work.

There should be a hairpin clip inside the turnbuckle to keep it from unscrewing. Are you missing this part? ....

Nope, I didn't get the hairpin clips. I looked at the turnbuckles and see there is a hole in the end of one of the screws on each buckle. I assume this is where the clip should go. I will talk to my dealer tomorrow. I'm beginning to think my dearler leaves something to be desired. When they delivered the tractor. There were no manuals. When I asked them about the manuals, they said they forgot and "I" should stop by and pick them up. Well, I did and they gave me three manuals and said it was all there. I get home and start to read and see I have the manual for the 4010 rather than the 4110 I purchased. That's another thing I will have to talk to them about. I hope this isn't just the start of more to come. Thanks for your reply Mark. I am new to tractors have much to learn. ....

Glad to help. Keep us posted.

Most hardware stores will have the clips for 2 bits apiece. ....

stopped by the dealer...gave me the 2 cotter pins...couldn't give me a 4110 manual...didn't have any...so having one mailed to me from JD. While I was there also noticed the foot guards were not installed on my lx4 cutter...so they gave me a couple of those to install also. I'm beginning to wonder how much attention was paid to setting up my tractor, but, all in all, I'm OK with everthing right now. They were very nice about everyting :o) ....
